RHYOLITE Wine. Why That Name? Here's Why.

Our Estate Red Blend, Rhyolite refers to the volcanic rock that makes up our soils, but it is so much more than that. This limited wine is the most emblematic to winemaker and proprietor, Timm as it encompasses all of the grapes he grows on the ranch, including some of the oldest Zinfandel grapes still growing in the Napa Valley. 

Apart from the wine, Rhyolite is also the namesake of our ranch, Quarry Vineyard as our old rock quarry (sitting above the vineyards) produced rhyolite for many buildings throughout the valley as well as our 1885 ghost winery and Balsamic Vinegar acetaia.
